The Rosewell Centre has a warm and comfortable Tai Chi studio, and we like to take advantage of fine weather to practise outside when possible.
Tai Chi, short for t’ai chi chüan, combines deep breathing and relaxation with flowing movements, bringing about a heightened awareness of your body and mind.
Originally developed as a martial art in 13th century China, it is now practised around the world as a holistic health-promoting exercise.
At the Rosewell Centre, we use Yang style Tai Chi and various styles of Qi Gong. which are tailored to the individual or group so are suitable for all abilities and personal development aims.
The flowing movements of Tai Chi are well known for relaxing the body and bringing about an awareness of the subtle energy body and the fluctuations of the mind. Documented as beneficial for a range of health conditions including anxiety, depression, Parkinson’s disease.
Qi Gong is a powerful system that teaches you how to move energy and feel the vibrations internally. It makes use of traditional Oriental healing and acupoints. Some movements bring vibrations into specific organs can be used to enhance health and wellbeing.
Sue Hix and Ray Pawlett are our fully qualified and highly experienced Tai Chi and Qi Gong instructors who will guide you in your class. Learn more about them here.
