Salt Pickled Gherkins – Minty or Gingery

These gherkins were planted and grown in the Glebe Cottage garden in Castle Bytham village in the summer of 2021, then moved to the salt brine pickling pot with added mint in one batch and added ginger in another batch. They have almost zero food miles and make a delightful alternative to the vinegar-pickled shop bought version! These pickled gherkins are a live product and help to introduce positive influences on the gut microbiome.

Storage: Keep refrigerated below 5 degrees centigrade to ensure maximum enjoyment over time. They will keep under the brine for a year until the next crop comes in from the garden.
