Meet the Rosewell Team
The Rosewell Centre brings together a team of dedicated people, all with the aim of promoting your health, wellbeing and personal development.
Founder and Director
Sue Hix founded The Rosewell Centre in 1996 as a place to celebrate health and wellbeing from a holistic perspective. She has over 30 years experience of teaching healing and health practises and provides Shiatsu, Tai Chi and Yoga, as well as organising Rosewell Retreats.
In these times Sue is focusing on bringing inspiration, healing and connection, while respecting diversity of values and beliefs. Solutions to wellbeing that are low cost and user friendly which can be shared widely to democratise transcendence into new consciousness. Key elements of focus are – regulating respiration to shift physical and psychological states, – teaching how the nervous system regulates the body – presenting learning about hormone drivers and the effect of foods or substances which change our feelings – bringing transformative music into the arena, which soothes the soul and opens us to the capacity for awe.

Ray Pawlett began his creative journey in 1990, following a path of tai chi, martial arts and healing. He achieved Tai Chi champion in the UK competitive world, published 8 books and since meeting Tai Chi Qigong master Joe Lok in 2015 Ray has become one of a small number of fully qualified coaches for “Phoenix in Graceful Clouds of Blessings”. Ray specialises in bringing depth, quality and humour into his coaching.
Ray facilitates Tai Chi, Qigong, Shiatsu and 9 star Ki astrology readings.
Rose Hix has been qualified in aromatherapy and aroma massage since 2017. She enjoys selecting the olfactory environment that will suit the individual and brings a youthful approach to helping others to feel energised and alive.
Rose was brought up with alternative medicine and experienced alternative education at the UK Krishnamurti School (https://brockwood.org.uk) which focuses on holistic cooperative education and each day begins in communal silence and self reflection. These values of caring and sharing healthy human ecology are grounded in her work with you.
Rose can share with you her experience with ethical non-toxic beauty products which nourish your skin. She uses Young Living aroma oils and is an ambassador for Tropic skin care products.
Sound Practitioner & Wellbeing Therapist
Sally Warr is a fully qualified Sound Practitioner and a wellbeing therapist. She has been providing sessions with gongs since 2017 and more recently has become qualified as a wellbeing counsellor and coach.
Sally’s life focus has been the natural world, adventure and diverse cultures, exploring other ways of thinking and being in this world.
She was led to Canada in 1997 where she had the wonderful opportunity of undertaking a degree in Indigenous Studies for four years incorporating a 6-month study programme in Western Australia. These experiences opened her mind and heart to understanding the history of Indigenous peoples globally and varying worldviews and spiritual beliefs.
On returning to the UK Sally decided to undertake counselling training at Lincoln College and then a Master of Education in Counselling at the University of Cambridge. She has had her own private practice and been a gong practitioner since 2017.

In 2003, Stefan relocated to England with his wife, Teodora, to continue promoting the knowledge and practice of yoga. Since then Stefan has trained with a Power Yoga School and Yoga London (ashtanga vinyasa). He qualified in Anatomy Studies For Yoga Teachers.
He conducts yoga and meditation sessions in a challenging and fun way and is truly dedicated to supporting others to achieve their full potential.
Emily Rule is a physiotherapist and pilates instructor has been teaching pilates in the local area for over 15 years and has been practicing physiotherapy for 30.
Her experience of working with a variety of people from athletes to neurological patients means she has excellent knowledge of how the body moves and how injuries, postures and even everyday stress can affect not just the site of injury but the rest of the body.
Emily brings this knowledge and experience into her teaching, helping you to be more aware how your body works, whether, that be the need to improve balance, strength, coordination alignment or more likely a combination if them all. This will help movement to become more efficient and functional whether that be a stroll in the park, a days gardening or a marathon.
Caroline Barrett started her journey to becoming a yoga teacher after being inspired by her daughter, who is a qualified yoga teacher living and working in Australia.
Seeing the passion and joy her daughter gained from her training and then teaching, Caroline put aside her fears that she was ‘too old’ to take her own yoga practice to the next level and began teacher training herself. You’re never too old for yoga!
Caroline has a real desire to bring inclusive yoga to her local community and share the enjoyment she has found in it with people from all walks of life and abilities. She particularly realises the benefits of Hatha yoga – a focused but relaxed style – whilst having fun in her classes.
Having also completed a meditation training course, she is able to bring this into her classes. Which, along with pranayama (breathing techniques) gives a holistic approach and brings balance and calm to body, breath and mind.
As well as teaching, Caroline also attends classes in all styles of yoga and meditation to further her experience and knowledge of the practice she loves so much.
What our Customers Say
"I am so glad I have discovered Shiatsu massage after so many years. Shiatsu was a revelation unlike any massage I’ve ever experienced. Sue locates and works on particular areas of tension/stress - where pain gathers. The whole body shiatsu experience is intensely relaxing and therapeutic. I recommend thoroughly Shiatsu at the Rosewell Centre."
"I have had many aromatherapy massages before but Rose’s is different in a most significant way - she has a deeper understanding of what you and your body needs and her tailored way of matching your needs is unique in my experience - a very gentle and therapeutic experience. I recommend it without reservation."
“I have been participating in Sue’s early morning yoga class for many years. It is very enjoyable as the routines vary with new poses and ideas, the most recent addition being aerial yoga. The use of silk hammocks adds a new dimension to practice, challenging different muscles to traditional yoga postures.”
“I had a lovely meditation with Sally’s Ocean Therapy Gong Bath, the sounds were very evocative. I heard the waves on a beach and whales singing! All sounds were very relaxing and I felt 6 inches taller after. It was well worth the drive from Wiltshire!”
"Although I had attended regular yoga classes over the years, I hadn't heard of Yin Yoga before so I thought Id give it a try! Sue provided us with the most comfortable, resting environment in which to practice this type of yoga and I felt that her wonderful soft and gentle tone and approach to the class enhanced the whole experience for me. Sue has such a vast amount of knowledge and understanding which I found incredibly useful as we went through our positions and I enjoyed both challenging myself and the wonderful opportunity to relax and reflect. As if this wasn't enough, after each session, I had an exceptionally restful nights' sleep! I would highly recommend this type of yoga and Sue."
